FIRST WAVE OF WEEKEND GUESTS ARRIVE

Our weekend guests started arriving today in the first of two waves. The second wave arrives tomorrow. All in all, there will be twelve of us getting together over the next three days: Nine guests plus the three residents of the house on Hybiscus.

When I arrived at the airport earlier this afternoon to pick up Josh, Jessica and Haydn were already there to greet him.

Within a couple of hours after Josh and I got back to the house, we heard a knock at the front door. When I opened it, there stood Tracy and Hunter to complete the first wave of weekend guests, We all headed out to dinner at one of Josh's two favorite restaurants, then returned home to spend the rest of the warm, summer evening in and around some cool water and some hot water.

Haydn, Jessica and Josh at the Rogue Valley International Medford Airport.

Hunter and I cool off in the pool.

Then we warm up and make funny faces in the hot tub.

The pool steps make great seating.

Debra and Josh play a game of "washers".

Debra tosses a washer.

Ashley prepares to toss a washer.

Hunter tames a dragon.

Hunter floats on a dragon while I float on a couple of noodles.

Josh works with his new computer.

One hot tub, one face, two feet.

Digging life.

Josh shows signs that he is possibly fatigued from spending the past 35 hours in airports and in airplanes while Tracy, chatting with Debra, shows signs that she is not digging having a camera pointed in her direction.

Ashley lounges on the opposite side of the pool while Hunter shows no interest in ever wanting to get out.

As the sun sets, the pool lights reflect off Hunter.

Tracy and Debra are visiting while, simultaneously, wishing I was not armed with a camera.

Photographer denied.

Thursday ends. Pool is covered.
