DINNER WITH CHUCK

This morning Ashley and I got into my pickup and drove from Hybiscus Street to Beaverton to attend Tim and Naomi's birthday party tomorrow. Debra stayed home for some much needed down time following a five-day road trip last week and for some preparation time for a double birthday party at our house next weekend.

After our five-and-a-half hour journey along I-5, Ashley and I pulled into the Weathersby's driveway. Dinnertime was still a couple of hours away, so we played with the kids for awhile before heading to Silas and Devon's favorite fine dining establishment: Chuck E. Cheese's.

Silas quickly recruited Ashley into a game of "Guess Who?" shortly after we arrived.

Bethany pushes Naomi on the swing while Silas, in the background, is involved in a Frisbee throwing activity.

Devon stands atop the fire hydrant in the front yard.

Ashley holds Naomi. Naomi points toward the camera.

Naomi wants a strawberry-flavored marshmallow and Bethany gives her one.

Silas climbs a tree in the front yard.

Devon hangs from the same tree.

Naomi grabs the pole to the outdoor lamp.

When a trampoline is nowhere to be found, the bed of a pickup works just fine.

As dinner time arrives, Naomi puts on her sandals before heading to Chuck E. Cheese's.

Seven hungry stomachs, two pizzas, four sodas, three glasses of water, and one-hundred game tokens.

Bethany watches Naomi on the merry-go-round.
I tried to get at least one photo of each child placing tokens into the games.
