SATURDAY MATINEE

Yard work and chores were not calling my name today.

If they were, I chose not to listen. Plus, it had been a while since Debra and I had done any "Papa and Nana" stuff with the Vallo girls. So, we checked the movie listings and found something we thought Baylee and Rylie would enjoy. Makiah, a bit too young for this outing, stayed home.

Both Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were showing at a nearby theater in 3-D. The theater was promoting a double feature. If you bought tickets for Toy Story, then you automatically got to see Toy Story 2 for free right after the first movie ended. Between movies, we also bought a big tub of popcorn and some soda.

With Baylee and Rylie in the back seat and Debra and I in the front seat, we head for the movies.

After a few minutes in the car, we arrive at the parking lot to the movie theater and to a furniture store.

Rylie demonstrates a toothless smile with nose and chin pressed against a car window.

Seated for the second movie of the double feature, Rylie wears her 3-D glasses over her own glasses and sucks on a straw while Baylee checks out the screen and Nana prepares to pass out some popcorn.
