CONTINGENCY OFFER

The House on Hybiscus has been a great home for over twelve years.  But, as retirement comes in about three years, it is time to start thinking about downsizing.

We’re hoping a move will result in less yard work, less housework and less square footage to heat and air condition.  I am also tired of maintaining a swimming pool.

So, a couple of months ago we started looking around for another home.  We have been particularly drawn to a specific nearby 55+ community.  We’ve seen a few homes in this neighborhood that have interested us, but since our only money is tied up in the house we now live in, we can only buy a house if we first sell ours.

Therefore, we decided to make a contingency offer.  This kind of offer is usually not attractive to sellers because it does not allow them to accept other offers while waiting for us to sell our place.

We were pleased to find that our contingency offer was accepted!
