POLAR BEARISH TENDENCIES

With the Saturday evening air temperatures dropping into the 40's, the girls ventured into a hot tub with the water temperature at 102. At some point, Daisy asked if she could jump into the swimming pool, which had a water temperature of only 38.

I said "Yes" and waited around to make sure that hypothermia didn't set in before she was able to return to the hot tub. She jumped into the frigid waters and eventually persuaded Ally and Rylie to join her. Only Baylee chose to exercise caution, comfort and wisdom.

YOUNG FEMALE BOWLERS

Four of our granddaughters spent the weekend with us. Part of our weekend together included a trip to the bowling alley. Here is what it looked like:

Rylie gives new meaning to the word "split" as it pertains to bowling.

Daisy (aka Crazy Daisy) breaks 100 in scoring. Other bowlers included Baylee (aka Tootsie Roll), Ally (aka Dum Dum), and Rylie (aka Smartie).

SCARY SCARY NIGHT

My sister, Judy, will become an official senior citizen on Halloween Eve, one day before Halloween. That's scary.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, I made a video just for her. It's called "Scary, Scary Night". She received the DVD in the mail today and called me to tell me that I am crazy. She also said she loved the video. To view it, click the play tab below.

Ten years ago, on this very date, I got down on one knee in my family room and asked a very important question to a pair of pretty brown eyes. The answer I got was the exact answer I was hoping to get.

One of our annual family traditions is a trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. This year the Moffits were able to join us. And the weather was perfect.

The tradition always includes the Weathersbys.

This year the Moffits got to join in the fun.

It's not often I get to hang out with six grandchilden at the same time at a pumpkin patch.
